DMO Update

At our most recent meeting, my colleagues voted for a second time to accept the recommendation of the City Manager and appoint Destination Must Visit Tourism Alliance, Incorporated as the City’s DMO.

There have been additional developments with the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association, as well as the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. You can learn more here.

4/20/2026 Meeting Preview

Monday night's meeting includes votes on changes to the City's purchasing policy and City Charter that would significantly expand the City Manager's contracting authority and reduce public oversight of how tax dollars are spent.
